China’s CNIPA released patent images of the facelifted BMW iX, revealing M Sport bumpers, an illuminated contour grille and slanted-matrix headlights. The 4965mm-long SUV keeps its 3000mm wheelbase while adding a larger roof spoiler and dark diffuser. Inside, the curved display switches to iDrive 8.5 and offers a round M steering wheel for the first time. Production remains in Dingolfing; Chinese market introduction is expected via special order.

New spy shots reveal the China-made GLC EV with a stretched rear door and straighter D-pillar, trading sportback looks for more cabin and cargo space. The 942-pixel illuminated grille and 39-inch MBUX screen are retained; MB.EA platform offers up to 735km range. Production will take place at Beijing plant, with market launch set for 2026.

The ARCFOX α-T5 range-extender lands late Oct. A 77kW 1.5L 40% thermal-efficient genset feeds a 200kW motor for 0-100km/h in 6.5s. CATL’s 215km battery delivers 1215km total range and 15min 30-80% DC boost; ELTC loss-of-charge consumption is 5.18L/100km. Length 4760mm, wheelbase 2845mm, aero wheels and flush handles carry over.

Geely unveiled the fifth-gen New Emgrand on Oct 11. The 4.0-design sedan features a 12-bar vertical grille, triple-segment LED DRLs and 170m-throw headlights, plus a larger, sportier body and new 1.5T engine, lifting A-segment appeal.

BYD launched the extended-range Han on Oct 11. Seven trims priced 159,800-205,800 RMB after trade-in offer 245km PHEV or up to 705km EV range, blacked-out styling and new colors. An OTA update will cut DM-i WLTC loss-of-charge consumption to 3.35L/100km, boosting the flagship sedan’s value.
