BYD has officially launched the SHARK pickup in the Chilean market. The SHARK is the first pickup to feature DMO (Dual Mode Off-road) technology, combining the performance and efficiency of traditional combustion vehicles with electric vehicles. Equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine and dual electric motors, the SHARK offers over 430 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 5.7 seconds. It features BYD's Blade Battery integrated via CTC (Cell-to-Chassis) technology, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. The vehicle includes a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen, a 10.8-inch dashboard, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and is available in black, blue, and white. The SHARK also boasts a payload capacity of 850 kg and a towing capacity of 2,500 kg, along with six airbags and the DiPilot driving assistance system.

The Bugatti Tourbillon, successor to the Chiron, marks the brand's first foray into plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV). It features an 8.3L V16 engine and two electric motors, delivering a combined 1,800PS and a top speed of 445km/h (with the Speed Key option). The Tourbillon showcases intricate craftsmanship and advanced technology, with a limited production run of 250 units, starting at 3.8 million euros.

The Buick E5 mid-size SUV will debut in Q1 and hit the market later this year. Built on Buick’s Xiaoyao architecture, it features split Star River Unfurls Its Wings headlamps, roof-mounted LiDAR and Momenta R6 ADAS for full-scenario assisted driving, plus a Snapdragon 8775P-powered cockpit and “True Dragon Plug-in Pro” hybrid system in a five-seat layout.

Bermaz quietly fits the 2026 CX-5 2.0G 2WD High with a RM6,160 accessories pack—up from RM2,410—adding a 12.3-inch Android head unit (wireless CarPlay), dashcam and body-coloured cladding. Window film and LED sill plates are now standard across the range; prices were revised on 1 Oct, but the variant’s OTR figure and 5-year warranty with free maintenance remain unchanged.

Xpeng Malaysia will launch the G6 Standard Range on Jan 14. The entry variant pairs a 68.5 kWh LFP pack with a 252 PS/440 Nm rear motor for 435 km WLTP range and 0-100 km/h in 6.9 s—only 0.2 s behind the 80.8 kWh Long Range Pro. A smaller battery and reduced kit are expected to undercut the RM179,708 Pro price, widening the brand’s reach in Malaysia’s electric-SUV segment.

Mitsubishi will open bookings for the ASEAN-focused B-segment Xforce in Malaysia this February. Measuring 4,390×1,810×1,660 mm with a 2,650 mm wheelbase, the SUV slots between the HR-V and Corolla Cross. The launch variant pairs a 1.5L MIVEC NA engine (105 PS/141 Nm) with a CVT and FWD—shared with the Xpander—while a hybrid may follow.
