Leapmotor C10 Facelift Spotted Ahead of June 16 Launch
Leapmotor has announced that the new C10 will officially launch on June 16. The refreshed model features a new split-headlight design with sleeker daytime running lights, vertically positioned headlight clusters, a retained front grille, and a roof-mounted LiDAR. The vehicle measures 4,749/1,900/1,680mm with a 2,825mm wheelbase, extending 10mm in length. The interior and configurations have been comprehensively upgraded, with improved powertrain and extended range, continuing to offer both extended-range and pure electric variants. Additionally, all three C-series SUVs (C10, C11, C16) will debut together with new "Yunqi Gold" exterior and "Sandstone Brown" interior colors. Leapmotor delivered 81,569 vehicles in May, making it the first Chinese EV startup to break the 80,000-unit monthly delivery threshold, with over 80% year-over-year growth. The C-series has accumulated over 800,000 units in total deliveries.

UK New Car Registrations Surge 7.1% in May, BEV Market Share Hits 2026 High of 27.3%
According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), UK new car registrations reached 160,662 units in May 2026, up 7.1% year-on-year—the strongest May performance since 2019, though still 12.6% below pre-pandemic levels. Private buyer demand rebounded strongly with 17.2% growth, while fleet registrations rose 1.8% to account for 57.1% of the market. Powertrain trends show petrol and diesel cars declined 7.1% and 2.2% respectively. Electrified vehicles continued to gain ground: HEVs grew 1.8%, PHEVs surged 23.9% to capture 13.8% market share, and BEVs posted a 34.2% gain to reach 27.3%—the highest recorded so far in 2026.
