FAW-Volkswagen has unveiled the ID.AURA T6 Dragon Boat Special Edition at the GBA Auto Show, a pure-electric midsize SUV built on the CEA architecture with a 5-seat layout, roof-mounted LiDAR, and Corewise intelligent driving assistance. The special edition features Lingnan kapok-inspired red paint with golden auspicious cloud and dragon scale motifs. The company also introduced its Golden Hybrid technology, pairing an EA211 dedicated hybrid engine with a TQ251 transmission to achieve 3L/100km fuel consumption and over 1,400km combined range. The system includes Xingyun intelligent driving with end-to-end highway NOA and cross-floor memory parking. The Magotan PHEV and Tayron L PHEV are scheduled for launch at the end of June.

The Chery Omoda C7 has reappeared in a KL Fashion Week teaser, signaling an imminent Malaysian launch. Positioned between the O5 and C9, this C-Segment SUV features a 1.6L turbocharged engine paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, with both FWD and AWD variants expected. The minimalist cabin includes a 15.6-inch sliding central touchscreen and Sony audio. FAW's Yueyi 08 flagship mid-size sedan will open pre-sales on May 29 under the brand's R series. Available in both BEV and EREV powertrains, the model features a Qualcomm 8295P cockpit chip and an intelligent assisted driving system co-developed with Horizon Robotics, with LiDAR modules on higher trims. Audi has confirmed the A2 e-tron all-electric entry-level model will debut in fall 2026, built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform shared with the Q4 e-tron, Q5 e-tron, and ID. series. The prototype retains the original 1999 A2's MPV-inspired silhouette with a lower roofline and sleek full-width taillights, promising outstanding aerodynamics. The MG 4X, the first SUV in the MG4 family, has officially launched with four variants offering 510 km and 610 km CLTC ranges, priced from RMB 92,800 to RMB 109,800 after subsidies. It is the only model in its segment to feature standard rear-wheel-drive with a five-link independent suspension, complemented by DP-EPS steering and XDS cornering control for luxury-grade dynamics. The 510 km variant uses a QingTao semi-solid-state battery proven through nail penetration and extreme cold tests, while the 610 km variant packs a 64.2 kWh CATL battery—the only sub-RMB 100,000 pure-electric SUV exceeding 600 km range—supporting 16-minute 30%-80% fast charging.
