Spy shots show the Genesis G80 hybrid still wrapped in heavy camouflage ahead of its Q3 2026 launch alongside the GV80 hybrid. A long-wheelbase variant (G80 HEV LWB) is also caught testing and is tipped for Q4, featuring G90-style power-operated rear doors to enhance rear-passenger prestige while retaining the regular model’s exterior design.

Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia has opened registration of interest for the B-segment Jaecoo J5, signalling an imminent launch. Target price is around RM 120k—undercutting the larger J7 (RM138k-RM153k). Measuring 4 380×1 860×1 650 mm with a 2 620 mm wheelbase, it lines up against the Honda HR-V. A 1.5-litre turbo petrol (147 PS/210 Nm) drives the front wheels through a CVT, returning 7.5 L/100 km. The second-gen Kia Seltos stretches to 4,430×1,830×1,600 mm with a 2,690 mm wheelbase, out-spanning the Honda HR-V for class-leading room.
