Spy shots of Hyundai's all-new Elantra (codename CN8c) have surfaced in China, with the overseas version (CN8) having premiered in June. As the eighth-generation model, it receives comprehensive upgrades to exterior, interior and powertrain while closely mirroring the global design. The new model features Hyundai's "Art of Steel" design language with sharp lines for a tech-focused, sporty appearance. Overseas dimensions are 4,765/1,855/1,425mm with a 2,750mm wheelbase, with Chinese spec likely to see further enlargement. The interior references the overseas version's 14.6-inch floating touchscreen and remote LCD instrument cluster running the Android-based Playos Connect infotainment system, with Chinese market localization expected.

BYD has officially launched the Seal 08 in China, with 8 variants priced between 229,900 and 279,900 yuan. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the model offers both 1.5L PHEV and pure electric powertrains. The PHEV variant delivers a combined CLTC range of 1,650 km, while the EV version achieves up to 900 km CLTC range, with the dual-motor AWD completing 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Dongfeng Fengxing Xinghai V6 will launch on September 19 with pre-sales starting at 89,900-124,900 yuan. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV with 2+2+2 six-seat layout. The exterior features waterfall-style headlights, closed front grille and trapezoidal air intake. Dimensions are 4,835/1,900/1,755mm with a 2,900mm wheelbase. Interior offers a 14.6-inch central screen and 8.8-inch LCD instrument with smart voice control. AD features Huawei Qiankun ADS 5.0 with MDC computing platform and 25 sensors. The 135kW motor produces 260Nm torque, paired with 45.5kWh and 60.5kWh LFP batteries delivering 400km and 510km CLTC range.

The Yipai EP7 battery swap version has appeared in the latest MIIT filing as a mid-to-large sedan. The exterior features a closed front grille with a star-ring connected light bar, a shovel-type front lip with vertical air vents, and semi-hidden door handles. The rear has connected taillights echoing the front. Dimensions are 4,910/1,930/1,478mm with a 2,920mm wheelbase. Power comes from a Zhixin Technology 215kW single motor. The CATL (SAIC Times) LFP battery supports battery swap. According to previous information, Dongfeng Yipai and Huawei Qiankun cooperation will launch three new models this year: large six-seat SUV, large five-seat SUV and performance sedan.

The Buick Zhijingshijia Aivia version has appeared in the MIIT filing as a luxury high-spec variant of the mid-to-large MPV, with three seven-seat configurations. Exterior continues the current design with hidden door handles replaced by semi-hidden ones to meet new regulations. The three powertrains are: 1.5L PHEV FWD (engine 110kW, front motor 270kW peak); 1.5L PHEV AWD (engine 110kW, front 270kW + rear 120kW peak); 2.0L PHEV AWD (engine 155kW, front 270kW + rear 120kW peak).
