BYD has officially launched the SHARK pickup in the Chilean market. The SHARK is the first pickup to feature DMO (Dual Mode Off-road) technology, combining the performance and efficiency of traditional combustion vehicles with electric vehicles. Equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine and dual electric motors, the SHARK offers over 430 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 5.7 seconds. It features BYD's Blade Battery integrated via CTC (Cell-to-Chassis) technology, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. The vehicle includes a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen, a 10.8-inch dashboard, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and is available in black, blue, and white. The SHARK also boasts a payload capacity of 850 kg and a towing capacity of 2,500 kg, along with six airbags and the DiPilot driving assistance system.

The Bugatti Tourbillon, successor to the Chiron, marks the brand's first foray into plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV). It features an 8.3L V16 engine and two electric motors, delivering a combined 1,800PS and a top speed of 445km/h (with the Speed Key option). The Tourbillon showcases intricate craftsmanship and advanced technology, with a limited production run of 250 units, starting at 3.8 million euros.

Genesis has released official images of the 2026 G80 and G80 Black. Exterior changes are limited to two new colours—Vatna Gray and Ceres Blue—and an optional new 19-inch wheel design; the tailgate now shows only the GENESIS word-mark. Inside, the driver’s Ergo Motion seat with 18-way adjustment and speed-adaptive bolstering becomes standard. Option packs are streamlined: the Comfort bundle gains air purification, while Driving Assistance combines advanced ADAS and in-cabin camera functions. Powertrains remain unchanged.

At its 10 January Dynasty Gala in Shenzhen, BYD unveiled the 2026 Song Pro DM-i Long-Range, boosting EV range to 220 km CLTC and adding two new colours plus a high-speed blow-out stability system. Two variants are priced RMB 122 800-130 800, falling to RMB 119 800-127 800 after limited purchase-tax subsidies; 133 km versions drop to RMB 99 800-109 800. The decade-old Song line has now surpassed 3.8 million users, while the Dynasty family adopts the slogan “Mainstream, Technology, Smart Dynasty” and previews flagship Han/Tang 9-series for H1 2026.

Chery launched the 2026 Ice Cream city EV on 10 January in four design-driven trims—Sweet, British, Racing and Queen—priced RMB 43 900-49 900 before incentives and RMB 34 000-38 700 with scrappage subsidies. Lightweight polymer body panels resist dents and scratches, while each trim features unique bumpers, graphics and wheels: the Queen adds retro wood-grain accents, the Racing pack gains a front splitter, black alloys and floating rear spoiler, targeting style-conscious micro-EV buyers.

At the 10 January Dynasty Gala in Shenzhen, BYD announced its “Dynasty 9 Series” offensive: a full-size flagship SUV and sedan, both stretching beyond 5 m and targeting luxury-class benchmarks. Leveraging the marque’s latest new-energy powertrains, advanced driver-assist suite and human-centric cockpit, the pair will spearhead Dynasty’s upward push into the premium segment and redefine the brand’s technological pinnacle.
