European manufacturer Impact Clean Power Technology has launched the continent's most modern and highly automated lithium-ion battery production line, set to increase its capacity from 0.6 GWh to 1.2 GWh by 2024, and ultimately to 4 GWh. This development marks the completion of the company's investment in its new headquarters, GigafactoryX, enhancing its R&D, testing, and warehousing capabilities.

BYD Auto, partnering with Mega Motor Company, is poised to launch electric vehicle sales in Pakistan, unveiling models Atto 3, Seal, and Sealion 6 in Lahore. As China's leading NEV manufacturer, BYD plans to establish an EV assembly plant in Karachi by 2026 to cater to the local market demand.

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has officially started production at its new factory in Jizzakh, Uzbekistan, marking its first overseas joint venture for new energy vehicles. The plant has an initial annual production capacity of 50,000 units and will export to other Central Asian countries. BYD also signed a Green Transportation Initiative Cooperation Agreement with the Uzbekistan government to jointly promote regulations and certification policies for new energy vehicles, stimulating the development of the entire NEV industry supply chain.

BYD's Thai distributor, Rever Automotive, offers a year of free charging to existing EV customers as compensation for recent price cuts, affecting around 2,000 charging stations nationwide. The compensation may not meet customer expectations. BYD's chairman has promised to address the issue, and the Thai Prime Minister's office has called for additional remedies.

BYD's Thai factory, completed in just 16 months with an annual capacity of 150,000 vehicles, covers the entire vehicle manufacturing process and is expected to create 10,000 jobs. On July 4, BYD held the ceremony for the production of its 8 millionth new energy vehicle at the Thai plant, attended by Thailand's Minister of Industry and the Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, among others. BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu stated that BYD has achieved significant results in the Thai market and will continue to launch more pure electric and plug-in hybrid models in the future.
