On 12 Dec, Xpeng inked a CKD agreement with EPMB’s unit PEPS-JV (Melaka), shifting G6 and X9 from CBU imports to local assembly for Malaysia. With import-duty exemption ending 31 Dec 2025 and CKD incentives running through 2027, the move secures tax-free positioning. EPMB already assembles GWM, BAIC and MG vehicles at the same Melaka plant.

CAM EV Microvan Debuts at MobilityX Asia 2025: 3.5 m LFP-powered mini-van due Q2 2026 in Malaysia from ~RM65k
Spotted at MobilityX Asia 2025, the CAM EV Microvan is a rebadged Nextem Vaquita from Hong Kong. The 3.5 m-long, 1.24 m-wide cab-chassis offers 2.14 m³ cargo space and 255 kg payload. A 15.97 kWh LFP battery feeds a rear motor in 13.6 or 20.4 PS tunes, both with 105 Nm and 80 km/h top speed; 3.3 kW AC charging gives 150 km range. Multiple bodies (tipper, washer, coffee truck) are possible, but Malaysia will launch the high-box van in Q2 2026 for around RM 65,000.
