The Volkswagen ID.ERA 8X has been revealed, with pre-sales starting September 28. Positioned as a mid-to-large size SUV with a large five-seat layout, officially dubbed a "German driving flagship SUV." Exterior features connected light strips and L-shaped daytime running lights with a six-core headlight design. Dimensions are 5,020/1,997/1,750mm with a 2,970mm wheelbase. Interior follows the ID.ERA 9X design with dual-spoke steering wheel, instrument magic screen, Smart surface door panel and 15.6-inch 2.5K dual screens. Chassis uses cloud chassis and VMC control system with dual-chamber air suspension and intelligent road-preview magic carpet system. Powertrain combines a 1.5L range extender (105kW) with a 220kW motor. The 51.1kWh battery delivers over 340km CLTC EV range and 1,400km total; the 65.2kWh version offers over 400km EV and 1,500km total range.

NIO has launched the EC6 Lingyun Special Edition with a full purchase price starting at 369,800 yuan or 261,800 yuan with BaaS battery rental. Orders placed by September 30 enjoy zero down payment with flexible installment terms and first-year rental discount for 100kWh battery. Subaru has unveiled the new Impreza and Crosstrek overseas, with the key change being the discontinuation of the 2.0L e-Boxer mild hybrid system. The new Crosstrek transitions to full hybrid starting at 3,833,500 yen (approx. 163,000 yuan), featuring a 2.5L boxer engine + dual motors + eCVT (145kW combined) with standard AWD. The new Impreza returns to pure gasoline power starting at 2,865,500 yen (approx. 122,000 yuan), equipped with a 2.0L naturally aspirated boxer engine (113kW) paired with CVT, available in FWD and AWD. Both receive a new Ignition Red color option. The Crosstrek offers Harman Kardon audio and EyeSight X, while the Impreza offers STI aerodynamic packages.

BYD has revealed design details of the new-generation Seagull. Dimensions are 4,205/1,810/1,570mm with a 2,650mm wheelbase, 425mm longer, 95mm wider and 150mm longer in wheelbase than the current model. Exterior maintains the classic front face with new trident-position lights and lens headlights, redesigned bumper with genuine air ducts and roof-mounted lidar. Interior is completely renewed with a large central screen (no instrument cluster), physical buttons and wireless charging. Powertrain uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor (95kW, 40kW more than current model) reaching 150km/h, with LFP battery.

MINI has launched the COOPER Cool Britannia Special Edition with 4 variants priced at 208,800-320,800 yuan, plus a limited Collector's Edition EV at 298,888 yuan (3 units).
