Although Malaysia only mandates Euro 4 emission standards for new vehicles, Hap Seng Trucks Distribution has launched the revised Mercedes-Benz Actros with Euro 5 engines and the off-road focused Arocs in the country. The Actros comes in three variants, while the Arocs is available in two. Both are equipped with advanced AdBlue SCR systems to reduce NOx emissions. The new trucks also come standard with Trac360 telematics, aiding in increased utilization of the vehicles.

Ford & Renault Group Partner on Ampr EV Platform for 2028 Fiesta Successor and Crossover

After a 12-month silence, BAIC’s Malaysia entry is back on track: pilot production of the X55 and BJ40 Plus was completed at EP Manufacturing’s Melaka plant in November, with full CKD assembly starting January 2026 under a 10-year contract. Open for booking since May 2024, the C-segment X55 (188 PS/305 Nm 1.5T+7DCT) is priced around RM129k, while the Wrangler-style BJ40 Plus body-on-frame 4×4 (221 hp/380 Nm 2.0T+8AT, removable roof/doors) lists near RM188k.

With five days to go until its official reveal, Perodua’s B-segment crossover—codenamed D66B and trademarked as either Nexis or Traz—shows Yaris Cross proportions but wears an ‘L’-pattern grille and deeper front bumper for local differentiation.
