Mercedes-AMG unveiled the AMG GT SUV at its 140th anniversary celebration in Stuttgart – the brand's first native pure EV high-performance SUV since becoming independent, built on the exclusive AMG.EA platform. Positioned as a mid-to-large pure EV high-performance SUV, it directly targets the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Electric, with global deliveries starting in early 2027. Three variants are offered: GT 63, GT 55 and GT 53. The GT 63 and GT 55 use three axial-flux motors (1 front, 2 rear) producing a combined 860kW (1,169HP) with ~2,000Nm torque, achieving 0-100km/h in ~2.5s and 0-200km/h in 6.8s at 270km/h top speed. Battery options are 106kWh and 128kWh with 800V architecture delivering up to 700km WLTP range, and 710kW charging adds 450km in just 10 minutes.

The 2027 Tank 500 is set to launch on October 23, with pre-orders now open. Buyers can enjoy a RMB 3,000 deposit discount for RMB 9,000 off the final payment, plus exclusive optional benefits worth up to RMB 12,000. The new model adds the exclusive Danxia Red exterior color, is equipped with the Coffee Pilot 4.0 ADAS system, and offers three powertrain options: Hi4-T, Hi4-Z and 3.0T fuel version, further enhancing its hardcore off-road attributes.

On October 15, the technical seminar for automotive electronic and electrical quality improvement was held in Suzhou. China's first CQEE regulation, jointly developed by CATARC Engineering Research Institute and over 30 industry entities, was officially released. Covering 5 dimensions and 101 verification scenarios, it fills the domestic standard gap in this field, and will promote the industry's quality management from passive rectification to full-process active control.

On October 19, NIO officially announced that the new firefly variant will be launched on October 23. The new model is equipped with a 60kWh battery pack, raising CLTC pure electric range from 420km to 560km, and supports existing owners' battery upgrade service. Launched in April 2025 with starting price of RMB 119,800, the 90,000th unit of this model has been delivered so far.

Dongfeng M-Hero officially announces that the M-Hero X700, a mid-size PHEV SUV co-developed with Huawei Qiankun, will be launched on October 25 with pre-sale price range of RMB 249,800-289,800. It is equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system and HarmonyOS cockpit, featuring industry-first off-road NCA navigation assist, targeting both urban commuting and light off-road scenarios.
