BYD's Thai factory, completed in just 16 months with an annual capacity of 150,000 vehicles, covers the entire vehicle manufacturing process and is expected to create 10,000 jobs. On July 4, BYD held the ceremony for the production of its 8 millionth new energy vehicle at the Thai plant, attended by Thailand's Minister of Industry and the Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, among others. BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu stated that BYD has achieved significant results in the Thai market and will continue to launch more pure electric and plug-in hybrid models in the future.

Honda launched the e:N2 fastback SUV in Thailand, a Dongfeng Honda-produced BEV priced at 1.429 million baht. Measuring 4,788 mm in length with a 2,733 mm wheelbase, the mid-size SUV features a 204 PS front motor and CATL-supplied 68.8 kWh NMC battery delivering 530 km NEDC range. Equipment includes a 12.8-inch touchscreen, 11.5-inch HUD, Bose 12-speaker audio, and Honda Sensing, with deliveries commencing late April.

GWM Ora 5 HEV Debuts in Thailand with 1.5L Turbo Hybrid Powertrain
The GWM Ora 5 HEV debuted at the 2026 Bangkok International Motor Show, priced from 729,000 baht.
