Toyota Motor Corporation will livestream its All-New Sports Models World Premiere on December 5 at 11:00 a.m. JST via its official website and YouTube channel, featuring English interpretation. The 30-minute event will be archived with full presentation texts and official photos posted post-event, marking Toyota's latest expansion in the sports vehicle segment.

Leapmotor launched the Lafa5 electric compact hatchback on November 27, offering five variants priced from 97,800 to 121,800 yuan (92,800-116,800 yuan limited-time offer). Built on LEAP 3.5 architecture B platform, the vehicle delivers up to 605km range and features an 8295 chip and LiDAR. Customers can enjoy launch incentives worth 24,900 yuan plus four lifetime warranty programs.

BYD has launched its first plug-in hybrid in Japan—the Sealion 6 DM-i SUV. Deliveries start end-January 2026 for FWD and March for AWD; Thailand already lists the model and Malaysia is next.

Alfa Romeo reveals the Quadrifoglio Collezione editions of Giulia and Stelvio, capped at 63 units worldwide. Finished in 33 Stradale-inspired Rosso Villa D’Este—matte on Giulia, glossy on Stelvio—they add carbon mirrors, roof, tailpipes and CCM brakes outside, while cabins mix carbon with Alcantara and “00 of 63” headrest embroidery. Sales cover China, Japan, Europe and the Middle East.

Proton has released full specs of the new Saga line-up. The entry Standard (RM37,990) is now Malaysia’s cheapest 1.5-litre car—almost RM 13k under a Myvi 1.5 X—yet offers 120 PS and 150 N·m from its port-injected BHE15-CFN engine. All variants get LED head- and tail-lamps, a fresh horizontal dash and 7-inch digital cluster, but the Standard sticks with a 4-speed auto, 14-inch alloys, two airbags and a basic radio; the touchscreen, wireless CarPlay, reverse camera, four-speaker audio and ADAS are reserved for the Executive and Premium. The Premium adds a CVT (4.9 L/100 km), six airbags, AEB, LDW, BSM and 15-inch two-tone wheels.
