Mercedes-Benz Malaysia will soon introduce a new GLC200 4Matic variant, joining the existing GLC350e 4Matic plug-in hybrid in the second-generation GLC (X254) lineup. Positioned as the entry-level model, it is expected to be priced below the current RM398,888 GLC350e. The GLC200 features a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive, achieving 0–100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. The variant will also come with the AMG Line exterior package.

Volvo ES90 Spotted in Malaysia, Set for CKD Launch in 2026
Just two weeks after its Thailand debut, the Volvo ES90 electric sedan has arrived in Malaysia and was spotted near the Volvo Car Malaysia headquarters. Built on the SPA2 platform, the ES90 is a mid-to-large electric sedan competing with the BMW i5 and Mercedes-Benz EQE. It features a fastback design, 5-meter length, 3,102 mm wheelbase, 22-inch wheels, and split taillights, blending sedan and SUV characteristics. The interior includes a 14.5-inch touchscreen and 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio. Powertrain options range from single-motor RWD to dual-motor AWD, with up to 680 PS and 700 km range. It supports 800V fast charging (10–80% in 20 minutes). The ES90 is set for local CKD assembly in Malaysia in early 2026, offering potential price advantages post-tax holiday.
Third-Generation Mazda CX-5 Confirmed for Malaysian Launch in Q3 2026, to Be Sold Alongside Current Model
The third-generation Mazda CX-5, which made its global debut in July, is confirmed to launch in Malaysia in Q3 2026. Initially imported as CBU units, local CKD assembly is expected to begin 12–16 months later. The new model will be sold alongside the current second-generation facelift version, with differentiated specs: the outgoing model will be limited to a 2.0L engine, while the new CX-5 will feature a 2.5L e-SkyActiv G mild hybrid engine producing 141 PS and 238 Nm, paired with a 6AT and front-wheel drive.

Alfa Romeo Confirms Return to Malaysia with Giulia and Stelvio Veloce Models
Italian automaker Alfa Romeo has officially confirmed its return to the Malaysian market, launching a local website and social media channels while opening pre-registrations for the Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV. Both models will be introduced in the high-performance Veloce trim, powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 280 PS and 400 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The Giulia features rear-wheel drive, while the Stelvio comes with all-wheel drive, both capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 5.7 seconds. Stellantis had previously signalled the brand’s return in March 2024 by establishing a national sales company and showcasing the Tonale SUV in Gurun, Kedah. Future local assembly could further strengthen Alfa Romeo’s competitiveness in the premium segment.
