Nissan has taken the wraps off the fourth-generation Elgrand at the Japan Mobility Show; it reaches Japanese showrooms next summer. Design theme is “Timeless Japanese Futurism” with Kumiko-pattern grille and patriotic colours. Motivation comes from a 1.5-litre turbo three-cylinder e-Power series-hybrid plus e-4orce dual-motor AWD (similar to X-Trail e-Power). Cabin highlights include twin 14.3-in displays, 22-speaker Bose audio, zero-gravity Ottoman chairs for front passenger and middle-row captains, 64-colour ambient lighting and updated ProPilot hands-off assistance. Malaysia last saw an official Elgrand in 2014; local interest is piqued after the Hyper Tourer concept appeared at KLIMS 2024.
