The production Honda Prelude (BF1) debuts in Japan for ordering and will reach the US late fall. The 2+2 hybrid coupe keeps the concept’s sleek nose and fastback profile, adds push-button shifting, S+ Shift paddle-controlled virtual eight-speed and ASC sound. The 2.0 L Atkinson i-MMD hybrid delivers 203 PS through a 184 PS/315 Nm traction motor driving the front wheels. Chassis hardware sourced from the Civic Type R includes dual-axis strut front suspension, adaptive dampers and four-piston Brembo calipers. Standard kit lists 19-inch alloys, Bose audio and full Honda Sensing. ¥6.18 million, 24 % above Civic Type R.
